Restorative Yoga and Sound Bath with Jo George

Join us for this special evening of Yoga and Sound Meditation with Yogi Jo George.

We will begin with gentle breathing and yoga poses to help alleviate tension and guide your body and mind into a deeply relaxed state. These practices may also aid in restoring a connection between your mind, body, self and the earth. This will be followed by a sound bath incorporating Crystal Singing Bowls. The Sound Bath creates vibrations at different frequencies to help rejuvenate the energetic and physical bodies bringing them into deeper relaxation opening the space to heal from within. This is the perfect practice to help to reduce stress and tension and harmonize your body, mind and spirit.

You can be a “beginner/brand new/never been to anything like it” student, and go at your own pace - Jo gives a range of options from beginner to advance for poses.

About our teacher: Jo started doing yoga to alleviate stress and anxiety from normal daily life and school. While playing roller derby, she found that yoga was great for relieving tension in the body, sharpening the mind, as well as helping with both injury prevention and healing. As she started her acrobatics and rock climbing practices, she began to see the importance of pranayama or breath work to make dynamic moves and keep her mind and body calm and capable. She also enjoys using musical vibrations to realign our bodies frequencies through sound healing. Jo continues to practice and learn from all branches of yoga and enjoys sharing from this experience with others.

Please wear your most comfortable clothes. Please bring your own yoga mat, small pillow, blanket and water bottle.
